hey friends! We have two new hits for possible help. I'm really excited!
Number 1:
I am contacting you hoping you might have someone who would like to tackle a housecleaning (pick up/dishes/chatting) with a disabled 67 year old woman, Babara. Her son called today a bit overwhelmed with caring for his mom. I told him we could not provide ongoing housecleaning but would reach out to our church community to see if there would be someone who would like to do a visit and see what they could do for her. Zac has been a wonderful benefit to so many, I think this might fit for a woman or Zac and a woman. The son, Brad just requested a “honest” person, so I just lay it before you and trust God will guide the way.

I have since contacted her, her son is in town right now helping her out, but I did give her the church name and my phone number, she will be contacting me next week to set something up. This is more of an FYI and maybe keep your schedules in mind for when she does contact me.
Number 2:
A lady by the name of Faith who needs some help moving from her home into an apartment in Beaverton on the 31st of this month. She will have things boxed up and ready for whoever can help. She has a queen bed/bookshelves (3) table and chairs/(2) wicker chairs/end tables/TV/microwave, so one or two pickups and a few hands should be enough. I called her and left a message, currently waiting to hear back. Anybody who can help, please keep that date clear and I'll plan on it unless I hear otherwise. I get out of class at noon (it's a Wednesday), but if that doesn't work for her, I might ask some other people to start and I'll do what I can when i get there.
Both of these are great opportunity to serve in our local predicament and get the Ethnos word out into the community. I'm looking foreword to both the community involvement and the team-building within the body that results from these opportunities.
